Since 2018, the Paris Peace Forum has been the place where heads of state and international organizations meet civil society and the private sector to construct new forms of collective action. In November 2021, the fourth edition will focus on spurring a more solid and inclusive recovery by addressing the various gaps in global governance, offering initiatives to better tend to the global commons, and putting forward new principles of action for the post-Covid world.

A preview of the 4th edition, 11 – 13 November 2021

Since 2018, the Paris Peace Forum has been the place where heads of state and international organizations meet civil society and the private sector to construct new forms of collective action. The case for improving global coordination could not have been made in a more dramatic way than by the havoc Covid-19 wreaked, with millions of deaths and economies devastated worldwide.

We now need to build back better, but that will not happen if we cannot address the gaps that threaten the global reconstruction:

⚕️📈 Closing the action gap on health and economic recovery

☀️🌊🛰️ Closing the ambition gap for the global commons

🌍 Closing the North-South gap

♀️♂️ Closing the inclusion gap

In November 2021, the fourth edition will focus on spurring a more solid and inclusive recovery by addressing the various gaps in global governance, offering initiatives to better tend to the global commons, and putting forward new principles of action for the post-Covid world.

2021 Selected Projects

The Paris Peace Forum continues to demonstrate that in a deteriorated international environment it is still possible to advance governance solutions, scale-up projects and launch new initiatives.

Since its creation, the Forum has supported and accompanied numerous projects that respond to the cross-border challenges of our time. This year, Space for Solutions, in a hybrid format, will host 80 projects tackling the issues at the heart of the 4th edition.

A universal call for projects to meet today’s greatest challenges

The responses to this fourth call for projects confirm the Forum’s role as a major player in international coordination, as nearly 60% of the projects chosen by the Selection Committee are implemented across several continents.

In 2021, the Paris Peace Forum will continue to put the global South at the heart of its actions by supporting nearly 30 projects targeting Africa, South America, South Asia and the Middle East.

The Selection Committee evaluated all applications and made its choice based on the quality of the projects as well as a geographical balance. Discover the 80 projects showcased throughout the fourth edition of the Forum on 11-13 November 2021. Projects are indicated in their countries and geographic areas of implementation.
