Ambassador Carta-Le Vert presented credentials to the Cook Islands [fr]

H.E. Mrs Sylvaine Carta-Le Vert visited the Cook Islands from March 12-16.
On Wednesday 13 March 2019, she presented her Letters of Credence to the Governor General, Sir Tom Marsters.

The ceremony took place at the Government House in Rarotonga. As well as this event, Ambassador Carta-Le Vert met the Prime minister, M. Henry Puna, to discuss our bilateral cooperation and joint actions in the region. She also discussed with Foreign Secretary Tepaeru Herrmann and M. Patrick Arioka Deputy Minister for Agriculture.

Highlighting climate change as our mutual key priority for the region, Ambassador Carta-Le Vert attended on March 14 a “Climate change” round table alongside M. Aupito William Sio, NZ Minister for Pacific Peoples.

During her stay in Rarotonga, Mrs Carta-Le Vert also organised a friendly ceremony during which she gathered the French community and exchanged with local representatives.
