Dr Yves Lafoy, Official Representative of New Caledonia to NZ, will be in Auckland on February 27 and February 28 to give two lectures entitled “Boosting New Caledonia’s economy: initiatives and challenges”.

New Zealand and New Caledonia are getting closer. In 2016, the New Caledonia – NZ Business Council was created in order to build links between New Zealand and its closest neighbor that represents the Pacific region’s third highest GDP per capita (€ 29,400, 2015) after Australia and NZ, and a unique potential portal into France and the European Union.

On Monday 27 February 2017 : To the attention of French business people interested in the New Caledonian market, including the FR-NZ Chamber of commerce, the conference will take place at HAWKINS Infrastructure(60 Stanley Street, Parnell, Auckland - The Wharenui room) and starts at 5:30pm (conference in French).

On Tuesday 28 February 2017: The conference, organised by thePacific Cooperation Foundation (PCF), will take place at theMinistry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Auckland (139 Quay Street - on level 6) and starts at 6:00pm (doors open at 5:30pm).
