First edition of the Night of Ideas in New Zealand on January 31st! [fr]
The Embassy of France in New Zealand is proud to present the first Franco-Kiwi edition of "The Night of Ideas" that will take place on 31 January 2019 in Wellington. This worldwide annual event first, launched in 2017 by the Institut Français, aims at bringing together philosophers, scientists, sociologists, psychologists, legal experts and artists to discuss some of today’s most significant issues.
The global theme for 2019 will be “Facing Our Time”, and in New Zealand there will be a particular focus on the relationship between Humankind and Nature, the latter including all plant and animal species.
At nightfall on the 31st of January 2019 in the Wellington Botanic Garden (The Dell), the discussion will begin. Throughout the evening, there will be different sorts of artistic performances, presentations from a number of guest speakers and panel discussions.
