French Festival in Auckland on August 26 [fr]

On August 26, Auckland will host its very first French Festival! From 9am, come and discover a reinvented French market with French fashion and unique food stalls!

The French marketwill run from 9am to 6pm at Shed 10 (Queens Wharf) featuring more than 30 stalls ranging from food, to fashion, sport and language for ’one day in France’.


The Alliance Française is running a stall at the event, as well as a family treasure hunt whose prizes include a French class for an adult or child at Alliance Française Auckland and products from New Caledonia Tourisl, L’Authentique New Zealand Charcuterie, French Natural Beauty and L’Atelier du Fromage.


Alongside the event, The French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce is running a One Business day in France” event inclduing workshops, presentations and success stories. Admission is free, but registration is essential.

One Night in France


At night, chefs from Touquet, Le Chef, L’Atelier du Fromage & Little French Pastry are hosting a now sold-out dinner, One Night in France, for 456 people on three "longues tables", one red, one white and one blue. Diners at the dinner, to be held in Shed 10, are to dress to match the colour of their table.
