The meeting was held at the Centre de Rencontres et d’Échanges Internationaux du Pacifique (CREIPAC) in Noumea at the invitation of High Commissioner of the Republic, Thierry Lataste, and President of the Government of New Caledonia.
The aim of the discusssions was to define a "shared policy" between the State and New Caledonia in terms of regional integration.
Ambassador Florence Jeanblanc-Risler attended the meeting along with other members of the region’s French diplomatic network.
"The Embassy of France in Wellington was in 2012 the first embassy to receive an Official Representative of New Caledonia," the Ambassador said.
"In the context of the extension of this measure to other countries in the region, the sharing of experiences was very rich."
"It showed the usefulness of working together to promote New Caledonia in the regional environment and the possibility of attracting, assisting and supporting businesses from the main countries in the region looking to invest in New Caledonia."
