NZ - International art website Contemporary Hum launches [fr]
International-focused New Zealand visual arts and creative disciplines website Contemporary Hum has launched. Established by two Paris-based New Zealand art professionals, Contemporary Hum includes contributions from international writers, curators and artists, and received support from the New Zealand-France Friendship Fund.
According to its founders Pauline Autet and Winsome Wild, "Contemporary HUM aims to generate critical discussion and provide greater visibility of New Zealand visual arts and creative disciplines presented overseas."
Some of the first items published on the site include a feature article about New Zealand photographer Anne Noble’s exhibition Abeille (Bee), presented at France’s Noirlac Abbey.
Also featured is a dialogue between French curator Barbara Sireix and Italian curator Caterina Riva on their time in New Zealand and world events.
As well as its essays and reviews, Contemporary Hum includes an event listing calendar.
