For its 5th edition, the International Pacific Exhibition in Mont-Dore, New Caledonia has invited New Zealand as guest of honour of the event. From September 17th to 20th, the fair will host New Zealand exhibitors to showcase the country’s culture and products and to promote the country’s wonderful touristic attractions.

With the support of the Delegation of New Caledonia in New Zealand, the Tamaki village group will travel to Mont-Dore to perform at the opening and closing ceremonies throughout the four days of the event.

Yves Lafoy, Official Representative of New Caledonia to New Zealand has welcomed the move to invite New Zealand as guest of honour for this new edition: “New Zealand and New Caledonia are close neighbours and partners in the Pacific region. Our relationship has thrived over the last couple of years however, I believe there is still great potential to be explored to strengthen our cooperation, notably in the economic sector. The increased presence of New Zealand exhibitors at this fair will facilitate the development of contacts between Kiwi and New Caledonian economic players whose future collaboration will find a solid ground on the existing agreement signed between the France-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its New Caledonian counterpart.
