The Embassy of France seeks a cultural cooperation assistant. Permanent contract. Position available from May 16th, 2018.

The applicant must:
-  Hold New Zealand citizenship, have permanent residency or a valid work visa (no Working Holiday Visa)
-  Be fluent in both spoken and written English and French
-  Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with communication technologies

As the cultural cooperation assistant, the agent will perform the following tasks:
-  Contribute to the implementation of cultural projects (arts residencies, festivals, invitations of professionals, etc.) while focusing on innovation and contemporary creation
-  Manage existing relationships and develop new initiatives with local cultural stakeholders
-  Ensure administrative and budget monitoring of cultural operations that are implemented
-  Represent the embassy on some occasions (cultural events)

Administrative responsibilities will also include:
-  Secretariat of the Head of the Scientific and Cultural Office
-  Writing of documents in English (speeches, articles, letters, various communications)
-  Managing the database of contacts of the cultural department
-  Managing archives

Working hours:
Monday to Thursday : 9.00 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 – 6.00 pm (1 hour lunch break)
Friday : 9.00 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 – 4.00 pm (1 hour lunch break)

Gross monthly salary : 3664 NZ$
